Crochet four seasons: Quick Easter egg garland

Naast het paaskuiken wilde ik nog wat maken voor Pasen. Maar, wel iets snels graag :). Ik vond het patroon van een leuke paasei-slinger online. Ik vond deze leuke pastel-paas kleurtjes in mijn voorraad.

Besides the easterchick I wanted to make something else for Easter. But I wanted it finished fast please :). I found the pattern for a Easter egg garland online and some pastel coloured cotton in my stash.

 

De slinger bestaat uit 11 eieren die uit drie toeren bestaan en dus zo gemaakt zijn. Ik deed afgelopen week naast mijn andere project steeds een paar eitjes. Vrijdag had ik de slinger al af en kon deze aan ons plisse-gordijn bevestigd worden.

The garland is 11 eggs long, each egg is 3 rounds which is quick. Last week I made a couple of eggs each evening besides my other project. Friday the garland was finished and I attached it to our shade.

Misschien doe ik deze week ook nog mee aan de Wolplein paas-CAL als vulling van de paastak die nu met 'originele' plastic xenos eieren versierd is.

Maybe I will participate in the Wolplein Easter CAL to fill my Easter branches. In the meantime I decorated them with 'original' plastic eggs from the budget store.

Ik blogde eerder al over de leuke patroontjes die voor Pasen beschikbaar zijn. Ik ging zelf ook aan de slag en wel met het schattige kuikentje van Dendennis.

There are so many patterns for Easter on the internet that it was hard too choose one. I told you about it here. In the end I decided on this cute chick based on the pattern from Dendennis.

Afhankelijk van de tijd maak ik nog iets, hopelijk nog op tijd om er over te bloggen :)

It depends on my available time if I can make another piece as Easter decoration. Hope I finish in time to blog about it.

Crochet four seasons: Easter ideas

Ik realiseerde me dat Pasen al weer dichterbij komt. Ik heb nog geen plannen gemaakt maar een paasbrunch zal niet ontbreken met deze feestdagen. Daarbij kan ik voor in huis nog wel wat leuke decoratie gebruiken. Ik ging daarom eens op zoek naar patroontjes om dit jaar leuke versiering te maken. Ik zal ze hieronder met jullie delen.

I realised that Easter is fast approaching. I didn't make any plans yet but there will be brunch for sure! My house can use some decoration for the celebrations. I went on the internet for some nice patterns and thought I share them with you. Sorry most are in Dutch, you can use this site for the crochet translations.

Craft for four seasons: Snowman

Deze keer een knutsel-editie van het haken voor vier seizoenen. Ik kreeg voor Kerst een pompom-maker en wilde die gelijk uitproberen. Ik wilde ook nog wat winterse decoratie dus bedacht dat een sneeuwpop wel leuk zou zijn. Dat is eigenlijk heel snel gemaakt. Ik had nog wat witte acryl liggen en maakte daarmee vier pompoms, twee grote vormde samen één hele grote bol en twee iets kleinere vormden samen een kleinere bol. Deze maakte ik aan elkaar, ik plakte er wiebeloogjes op en stukjes vilt als knopen en de neus en tadah daar was de sneeuwpop al.

A craft edition of the crochet for four seasons this time. I got a pompom maker for christmas that I wanted to try right away. I also wanted some wintery decoration so thought a snowman would be nice. A really quick make actually! I still had some acrilyc yarn and made four pompomps. Two big ones made one really large pompom and two slightly smaller ones made a smaller pompom. I tied these toghether, glued eyes and some felt for the nose and buttons on. And there he was, mr. Snowman.

Crochet four seasons - Christmas edition

I started my series of crochet four seasons in november with Sinterklaas. In december I made his little helper 'Zwarte Piet' and I started on the christmas decoration with a crocheted Santa. I didn't take a picture of Zwarte Piet so you have to believe me he looked great, just similar to the pattern in this link.

Ik started mijn serie haken voor vier seizoenen in november met Sinterklaas. In december heb ik zwarte piet nog gemaakt en ik maakte de kerstversiering met een kerstman. Ik heb geen foto van Zwarte Piet gemaakt dus jullie zullen me moeten geloven dat ie er goed uitzag, bijna zoals het patroon in deze link.

I used the pattern from Dendennis of the Santa bust. I used the same fuzzy yarn for his beard as I used for Sinterklaas. Before christmas I want to make some more decorations but I wonder if it will work out with all the december crazyness going on. I'll keep you posted...

Ik gebruikte het patroon van Dendennis voor de kerstman buste. Ik gebruikte hetzelfde pluizige garen als voor de baard van sinterklaas. Voordat het kerst is wil ik nog wat andere decoraties maken. Ik vraag me af of het gaat lukken met die drukke december maand. Wordt vervolgd...

Sinterklaas - Crochet four seasons

Ik heb het plan opgevat om met de seizoenen mee te haken. In oktober maakte ik daarom deze pompoen en dit herfstblaadje. Nu ik mijn blog heb kan ik natuurlijk niet achterblijven en zal daarom iedere keer met jullie delen als ik iets gemaakt heb. Ik zet mijn gevonden patronen ook op Pinterest. I made a plan to crochet along with the seasons. In October I started with a Pumpkin and a Leave. After that I started my blog and want to share with you what I make. I pin my patterns and inspiration also on pinterest. You can follow my yourney here.

Eind november kun je natuurlijk niet anders dan denken aan Sinterklaas, zwarte piet, pepernoten en gevulde speculaas. Daarom zocht ik naar een patroontje van Sinterklaas. Deze vond ik via Pinterest op de site van Echt Studio, hier vind je Sinterklaas en Zwarte Piet (gratis!).

In the Netherlands the end of november is focused on a national childrens festival, Sint Nicolas (Sinterklaas). He arrives by boat with presents for the children on the fifth of December. Maybe you heard about him becasue there has been some controversy around his little helper, black pete (Zwarte Piet). Even up to the United Nations sending a researcher on racism. Off course discussion is good but I think it is still a childrens festival and we shouldn't mess with it too much. So I couldn't help but search for a pattern of Sinterklaas. And found a dutch pattern for both Sinterklaas and Zwarte Piet.


Snel dook ik in mijn katoen voorraad en vond rood, geel/goud, wit en paars. Alleen huidskleur en witte pluizige wol zat niet in mijn voorraad. Een goede reden om naar de wolwinkel te gaan (gevestigd in de lokale stomerij). Gelukkig hadden ze wat van mijn gading. Snel gestart en na heel wat gepriegel, vooral met die witte pluizige wol, had ik een resultaat. Hoe vinden jullie hem geworden?

I dived into my cotton stash and found red, yellow/gold, white and purple. Only pink and fuzzy white were missing. A good reason to visit my local yarn store. Luckily I found what I needed. And started quickly. I think amigurumi requires a lot of patience, especially when you can't see what you do with fuzzy yarn. What do you think of the result?

Nu op naar zijn vriend, Zwarte Piet. Ik weet niet zeker of ik die op tijd ga afkrijgen met alle andere projecten die ik nog heb liggen... Ik hou je op de hoogte.

And I got the yarn ready for his little black helper Zwarte Piet. Not sure I will finish on time though with all the other WIP's I have lying around... I'll keep you posted.
